  • Condition: This piece is in good vintage condition. The bottom has some discoloration and the mirror is not clear. I am not sure how to discribe it. It's not really cloudy and nothing is cracked, but it has white speckles. (please see photos) I am surprised by mirror and the bottom because the rest looks like it might never have been used.

    Description

    This delightful vintage compact is marked "Stratton Made in England"  It is gold tone with scalloped edges and decorated with violets.  It is in good vintage condition (please see item description and photos for more details).  There is not powder in this compact.  It is about 3 1/4" in diameter.  I watched a video that suggested the back with the stars that is stamped Stratton is from around the 1960s to 1970s, but my grandmother said she got if from a suitor before her husband which would make it from before 1936.  Seems like she would know.  ;)
