1902 Bird S. Coler For New York Governor Campaign Pinback:
This button measures 7/8" in diameter. Bird Coler was first Comptroller of Greater New York, from 1897 to 1901. In 1902, he was the Democratic nominee for Governor of New York, but lost to Benjamin B. Odell, Jr. The original back paper has "The Whitehead & Hoag Co. Newark, NJ" on it. This pinback has some slight handling wear but it is in excellent condition
