    Description

For bid is an antique Victorian silver plate napkin holder with a lady and her very scared cat under the holder, made by "Reed & Barton".   It measures 4 in. tall and 2 1/2 X 1 1/2 in. base.  The Victorian lady is dressed in period clothes with a feather in her hat.  The cat in under the barrel that she holds, with a rope going through and tassels on the end.  The cat is totally freaked out and you can almost hear him hissing or at least a very indignant "Meowww",very whimsical piece.  It's marked on the bottom with "Reed & Barton" plus other marks that I can't decipher, except it does say "something plated", not sure what the first word is and the number 1175.  It's in very good condition.  I took 3 pictures of the bottom, the third from the last shows the top of the bottom where there are other marks, above the REED & BARTON mark, hard to see but that was the best I could get it..
The box will weigh 11 oz.
