Back in stock, Just in time for Summer.
Reproduction Cast Iron Tuyere Grates for the portable Champion coal forges.
The original one I used to make my pattern was from a Champion 147 3-legged agricultural/rivet forge.
However, they can be used on any forge with the mounting bolts 4” on center.
Like the original these have a ring on the back so that the grate sits on top of the “clay” (Refractory).
They are approximately ¼” thick, 5” in diameter and the holes are 4” on center. They are made here in the USA of gray iron.
No two are exactly alike as they are rough cleaned by hand with a pneumatic grinder to reduce the sharp edges.
