    Description

    Seven-Eighths Inch Celluloid Political Pin "For Governor A. J. Montague".  Andrew Jackson Montague served as United States Attorney for the Western District of Virginia during the 1890's. In 1897, he was elected Virginia's Attorney General. In 1901, he was elected Governor of Virginia. Twice a delegate to the Democratic National Convention (1904 and 1916), Montague spent the last years of his life in the United States House of Representatives from Virginia's 3rd Congressional District from 1913 until his death in1937. Button is in very good condition and still has its original back paper from the Whitehead & Hoag Company . Buyer will pay for shipping.
