    Signed & Inscribed on the first blank page, “Lenny (sp?) Is it true what they say about you occidentals??? Lin Yutang 11/48 (some text in Chinese follows.  Unfortunately, I do not read Chinese).

    Boards in good condition with some edge and corner wear.
    Corners somewhat bent/bumped.
    Some whitish spotting and streaking to front board.
    Small (approx 1/8”) chip/scrape toward top left edge of front board.
    Small (approx 3/8”) bump to top right corner of front board.
    Small (approx ½” and smaller) bumps to lower right corner of front board.
    Small (approx ½” and smaller) bumps to top left corner of back board.
    Small (approx ½”) bump to lower left corner of back board.
    Small bumps and light chipping to top/bottom edges of spine.
    Some fading to color in text box toward top of spine.
    Small (approx ¼” x approx 1/8”) scrape toward lower left corner of bottom edge of spine with small (approx 1/8”) scrape to its lower right.
    Spine still straight and tight.
    Some paper residue toward bottom of first blank page (possible removal of bookplate or sticker).
    Some browning to first blank page.
    Pages clean with no writing.
    This will ship in a sturdy, cardboard box.
