    Rare Bronze Prison Keys Custos Museum isolation XIX cent. 1850 male female keys numbered
    this is a very exciting auction
    three Large bronze Prison Keys from 1800.
    This incredible lot was utilized in  an antique prison. One of it was utilized surely for the isolation as is written on the antique leather label attached to it.
    All keys are numbered for the cell numbers that opened and are marked Custos. The number s are 085, 031, 75
    They were built in bronze for a reason: These keys way similar to the   Powder Keg's ones (o
    the bronze was necessary to avoid causing sparks on contact with other metals such as iron.
    this was very dangerous in a prison or in a powder keg
    One of it is female. There are very thik and large (as you can see i the pictures with hand)
    each one is long 12,5cm /4,9")
    the total weight is around 400 grams
    They have a right patina and are an incredible as display item or a conversation topic
