Pierre Dac
André Isaac, dit Pierre Dac, officially André Pierre-Dac from 1950, born August 15, 1893 in Châlons-sur-Marne and died February 9, 1975 in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, is a French humorist and comedian.
He was also, during the Second World War, a figure of the Resistance against the occupation of France by Nazi Germany thanks to his interventions on Radio London.
Creator of the humorous newspaper in the 1930s
Bone marrow
, Pierre Dac is notably the inventor of the Schmilblick, a rigorously integral object which is used absolutely for nothing and can therefore be used for everything.
He also popularized the expression "wacky", formed in the manner of louchébem.
After the war, he formed a famous humorous duet with Francis Blanche, and designed and hosted the popular radio series
Signed Furax
and
Good kisses from everywhere
.
The bone marrow
On May 13, 1938, he founded
Bone marrow
, the wacky official organ, a humorous weekly publication with a name inspired by François Rabelais and his butcher father (the wacky word comes from butchers' slang, louchébem, and means crazy). Her collaborators are singer Robert Rocca, designers Jean EFFEL , Roland Moisan, etc. From its first issue, the newspaper announced the creation of a "wacky Ministry", whose portfolios were distributed "at Poker Dice". His classified ads - most of which are written by Francis Blanche, who is just starting out - sell blackening paste for tunnels, waterproof purses for cash, holes for planting trees, etc.
Because of the German advance, the weekly - from the outset very anti-Hitler - ceases to appear after 109 issues, June 7, 1940. The newspaper team is forced to leave Paris when it is about to be occupied.
He would reappear at the Liberation, in 1945-1946, under the title "
Free bone
"
(from October 11, 1945 to October 15, 1947, 102 issues)
Later he will reappear under his original name around 1965, with new talents, such as René Goscinny (
The adventures of the Rhesus factor
) and Jean Yanne (
Novelists can no longer talk French by writing
).
After the death of Pierre Dac, at the instigation of Jacques Pessis, his
adoptive nephew,
universal biographer and legatee
it will be reborn several times:
"Le Nouvel Os à Moelle" (1976), then "L'Os à Moelle" (around 1984) etc ...
-
To be continued on ebay ...
other rare period journals and documents from the same provenance will be sold soon
concerning the Press at the Liberation of Paris in 1944, at the Capitulation of Germany in 1945 and at the end of the Second World War, and also
