Men's Schwinn Collegiate 3-Speed Bicycle (Giant built G1183)

Last year Detroit Bicycle Company built a limited run of 8 Schwinn Collegiate bicycles for Schwinn's 125th anniversary.  You can ride the same retro look for a fraction of the cost. Bought this Giant built Schwinn 3 speed at a local bike shop last year after I decided to start riding again, when my then recently retired wife bought a new Giant to ride the local trails. The shop had gone over it, and I also had the crank replaced near the end of the riding season due to a little slop under heavy load.
It has aftermarket aluminum pedals and a color matched chain.
Ended up riding enough last year to move up to a "new" older Chicago built 10 speed for this year. I believe this bike is a 1984 model based on the G1183 Giant date code on the frame. In good shape, especially for a bicycle manufactured over 37 years ago. (Lighting and lock depicted in trail photos NOT included.)
