The packaging boasts the Dressing Hood as a "wonderful new convenience." Today's models and movie stars, or any public figure  may find a need for protecting their hair and makeup while changing costumes and garments between scenes, acts, runway walks, speeches, and poses.
Dressing hoods in the 60's were easily available in make up and hair care departments at drug stores and women's clothing stores. So, of course, I needed one to protect my hair piece that created my bouffant hair style. And so it did. Excellent condition.
