Description
Araucania Yarns is inspired by ancient Chilean crafts made from hand painted natural yarns. The company was born when Nora Bierschwale, textile designer and her daughter Michelle Boisier, architect, decided to combine their talents and experience with the mission to create and produce beautiful and one-off yarns for the global market, employing ancient and traditional techniques which reflect Chile's ethnic origins. Each hank is different; its individual beauty emerges as the artisans blend colours to create several unique, interwoven shades. As there are no dye lots, we recommend buying enough yarn at one time to complete each individual project. Knit with two hanks in assorted rows (2-4). This will assure an overall blended effect. Itata is a hand-dyed fingering yarn that is perfect for socks, tops, sweaters, and shawls.
