Now finished in a tough dark gray exterior over a black interior, this vehicle was originally used as a medic vehicle during its time of service. Powered by a 6.2L V8 diesel which sends power to the wheels through a 3-speed automatic transmission. This vehicle comes with a regular Indiana title. The current owner maintained this vehicle at Ray Skillman Buick GMC. While this vehicle still possesses the rugged DNA of a military vehicle, it has also been outfitted with a new head unit and speakers, Fuel off-road wheels equipped with MT Rugged off road tires, light bar, and black canvas doors. This AM General was well maintained and is ready to enjoy, drive this one out of our showroom or have us assist with shipping anywhere in the United States!
The High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV; colloquial: Humvee) is a family of light, four-wheel drive, military trucks and utility vehicles produced by AM General. It has largely replaced the roles previously performed by the original jeep, and others such as the Vietnam War-era M151 jeep, and the M561 "Gama Goat". Primarily used by the United States military, it is also used by numerous other countries and organizations and even in civilian adaptations. The Humvee saw widespread use in the Gulf War of 1991, where it navigated the treacherous desert terrain; this usage helped to inspire civilian Hummer versions.
