1945 Original Alfred P Sloan GM Chairman Letter Signed. Condition is "Used".
This original May 23, 1945 correspondence, signed by General Motors Chairman Alfred P. Sloan Jr., is addressed to Edward G. Budd, president of the Edward G. Budd Manufacturing Company, in response to his request to design rail passenger  cars.
There is a paper clip impression as well as a dated "Received" stamp.
It is typed on General Motors stationery.
Budd was the premier builder of  stainless steel passenger railcar cars at the time. He wanted to design a train and partner with General Motors.
