Description
Here's an original 8.5" x 11" letter promoting an October 22, 1942 event for Earl Warren, running for California Governor, revolving around a "California Women for Warren Day." He was elected as governor several times and, by 1948, was considered a presidential contender. So much so that he was put on the GOP ticket with Thomas Dewey to run against president Truman. Eisenhower later appointed Warren Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court where he gained much fame, including compiling "The Warren Commission Report" about the assassination of John F. Kennedy. So here's an early career item involving women, with 2020 being the centennial of the first year women were allowed to vote in our elections. Hard to believe, huh? Can't be too many of these around. This in nice condition but please enlarge our images to judge condition for yourself so you can be happy with your purchase since it does have some use wear.
