    Description

    Thirteen-Sixteenths Inch Celluloid Political Stud "For Governor Hazen S. Pingree". After serving in the Union Army during the Civil War, Hazen Stuart Pingree became a boot and shoe manufacturer. He was May of Detroit from 1890-97. In 1896, he was the Republican nominee for Governor of Michigan and easily defeated Charles Sligh, the Democratic People's Union Silver candidate. Pingree was re-elected in 1898. Stud does have staining on it. Buyer will pay for shipping.
