    Description

RARE TO FIND 1893 ELLIOTT LADIES SAFETY BICYCLE. The perfect companion to the ELLIOTT GENTS model of the same year. Original "as found" condition. Features: Columbia ball bearing pedals with dust caps at outer end plates and original white pedal rubbers, elliptical crank sprocket, Elliott self-oiling block chain(hanging on bicycle), Vulcanite plastic hand grips.
Kirkpatrick saddle shown has been removed and does not come with bicycle as pictured. Missing plunger brake rod that connects between hand brake lever and lower connection tube (not a difficult part to fabricate). Also missing are the two rear axle to frame brackets that are not difficult parts to make and I can furnish the name of a source to make the missing parts who is reasonable in prices and very accurate in replicating the original missing parts.
Modern replica tires can also be sourced to fit the rims to make this machine rideable.
Shipping cost shown is incorrect and will have to be recalculated to winning bidders address.
Bicycle will be broken down and shipped in a standard size cardboard bicycle box unless a wooden crate is required by buyer
I ship world wide and can make a wooden crate for the additional cost of materials to build it.

A bicycle like this is not offered at the upcoming 29th Annual Copake Antique Bicycle Auction 2020 in New York. My Buy-It-Now priced bicycles are shown at the ACTUAL SELLING PRICE that you can buy it right now for and you don't have to bid against anyone else unlike this year at COPAKE AUCTION THAT WILL BE TOTALLY ONLINE due to the recent health concerns. I CAN and WILL answer in-depth detailed questions about my bicycles with experience from my years of collecting antique bicycles and being a Wheelmen member for decades so YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BUYING as I AM THE SELLER and NOT A THIRD PARTY armed with only the information the consignee(seller) has furnished for what is posted in an auction description. For YOU AS A BUYER, WHY PAY FOR INFLATED BUYER'S PREMIUMS ON TOP OF YOUR BID PRICE SUBMISSION for someone to sell you a bicycle? Remember THE SELLER ALSO HAS TO PAY THE AUCTION HOUSE for selling their bicycle at auction. Obviously all bicycles, etc sold at auction, in consideration of health safety, will have to be shipped during these times and I DON'T CHARGE YOU FOR THE BREAK DOWN OF THE BICYCLE or EVEN FURTHER BREAKDOWN if required by buyer to ship it cheaper via it being in a smaller box AND I DON'T CHARGE YOU FOR BICYCLE BOXING AND I USE ACTUAL CARDBOARD BICYCLE BOXES. If a wooden crate has to be built, I can do this and I only additionally charge for my actual costs of the plywood and screws to build it and there is NO LABOR OR HANDLING CHARGE FROM ME. I have shipped many antique bicycles world wide for years placing them carefully in actual cardboard bicycle boxes. padding them and know how to pack them. You won't get a box with the handle bars sticking out of a hole in the box or loss of loose irreplaceable parts that have fallen out during shipment as I pack and affix everything together within the box so it is in one mass of packaging. I can also get insurance coverage from my shipper but this will have to be an additional charge to my buyer. I have a 100% track record for getting the best shipping rate and packing correctly and can furnish references from my buyers over the years concerning this.
